How to Choose a Camper Conversion Company: An 8-Point Checklist

Camper Guide October 18, 2026 2 min read

A bespoke camper is a living space you will use for years, and the team that builds it determines the result more than anything else. Use this checklist before comparing quotes.

1. Is it built in their own workshop?

Some companies outsource parts of the job, which means quality and schedule can't be managed in one place. Having insulation, electrics, furniture and plumbing done by the same team is a big advantage. At Antora Karavan, every build is done by our own team in our own facility in Aksu, Antalya, Türkiye.

2. Can you see real projects?

Ask for photos of vehicles the company has actually delivered, not stock images. If possible, visit the workshop and see builds in progress. See our projects.

3. Is the interior designed in 3D before production?

Seeing the layout in 3D before work starts prevents regrets and costly changes later.

4. Is the warranty in writing, and what does it cover?

Ask for the length and scope of the workmanship warranty in writing. Antora Karavan gives a 2-year warranty on electrical, plumbing and furniture workmanship; manufacturer warranties apply to the appliances used.

5. How are the electrics and plumbing done?

Safety is the most critical topic in a camper: correctly sized cables, fuses and protection devices, and leak tests for the water system. Ask which materials are used and how systems are tested.

6. Is the quote transparent?

Every project is bespoke, so every quote is different. What matters is that the quote clearly lists the equipment and work included. Vague items mean surprises later.

7. Do they help with registration?

Registering a vehicle as a camper requires engineering documents and official procedures. A company that guides you through this makes the process much easier.

8. Is there after-sales service?

It matters to have a service you can reach when something goes wrong on the road. Ask whether the company offers maintenance, repairs and equipment support. About our service.
